Supporting student success
At Language and Learning, we believe all students can learn. Every student has skills and abilities that can be utilised to support areas of weakness. School-age students may need support with strategies to support language skills, reading, spelling, oral reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary or writing (including essays).
We complete a comprehensive assessment to develop a profile of your child’s strengths and weaknesses. This information allows us to customise a plan of intervention that incorporates explicit teaching of skills and strategies that use appropriate technology as required. Our goal is always to provide age-appropriate support to encourage student independence and optimise learning outcomes in the classroom.
Language and Learning works with mainstream students from K-12. In 2019 we will have a fortnightly clinic on a Saturday in Medowie offering appointments on 5 Saturdays each term. The location and clinic dates will be revealed in January 2019. Referrals are not required for an assessment.
