Kathryn brings over 15 years of experience in school leadership team and executive roles where she has implemented whole school change in the areas of Literacy and Learning Support (shifting to an Inclusive Model) in a range of K-12 school settings.
Kathryn can assist you to identify the unique needs of your school community and student population and translate this into an achievable plan to support staff on a journey of change. In January 2021, Kathryn presented an overview of the principles of her proven approach for the Learning Difficulties Australia NSW Conference. This is freely available to view.
Kathryn believes that the most effective approach for teacher training and coaching supports staff to come on a journey. She understands that change must be achievable and sustainable to maximise benefits to the students. Kathryn believes that students with disability need to be supported to become as independent as possible, that they thrive when the community can adopt an inclusive mindset, treating each other with value and accepting that we all have the ability to help and support each other’s learning.
